Hidden Figures

Hidden Figures Film

The film "Hidden Figures" is placed around the 1960's during the time of civil rights movement. The film is about three black women who all work for NASA and are trying to make themselves known in the workplace. AT the time NASA was still segregated and it was hard for women such as themselves to move up in the industry. Throughout the movie you see these three women fighting the law by getting those higher up jobs and going to court to fight for their rights as Americans. I think the main meaning of this film was to show what life was like for them during this time. to show the struggle they experienced and to this day still experience.
I really enjoyed watching the film. I enjoy learning new things about history and I guess history in general, so that why i liked it. Also because it was based on a true situation, it gives  the viewer a view that we don't get to see in history books. Another reason why i enjoyed the movie was because it the type of movie that gets the viewer to feel emotion for the characters, you develop a connection and want to see them succeed and break all the stereotypes.
My personal interest shape my evaluation of the film probably because I enjoy history, and i enjoy seeing others views on history. So, I can see how my interest in history and the civil rights movement and influence my evaluation.
